Okay I’m going to say my upmost unpopular opinion that I will get jumped for is that I genuinely don’t think the TMI movie casting for Isabelle and Alec was that bad.

Like idk, I think they both resemble their book counterparts. I feel like so much of the hate they get is that there characters are a bit awkwardly placed in the film- which fair. But idk, I don’t there that bad!!

And I see Alec always getting the most hate in the cast, and I honestly think his only problem was that he definitely looked alot older than the rest of the chase. But other that I genuinely don’t think he was that bad 😭😭 I’m always surprised by the amount of hate I see these two get in particular!!

And I’ll say my other unpopular opinion is that I don’t think the show cast was any better but that’s another opinion to grace the surface for another day

there are days where i find myself a little angry and sad that the tmi movies got cancelled and today is one of those days.

okay, so maybe the first one wasn't perfect, but you can't tell me that it didn't have more of tsc overall feels than the show. no hate to the show, i just think that the movie had a lot of potential and the shadowhunters core was there.

i personally loved the cast and i think that they would have followed the plot a lot better. it was more loyal to it. and the vibes were there.

plus... guys. malec. they would have been GREAT. i just know it. they're my roman empire.

and overall i think the cast fits better.

i'm still a books girlie, but i enjoyed the movie a lot.

TMI Graphic novel screenshots with film & show reels

For convenience's sake, I decided I try screenshots from the recent graphic novel artstyle demonstrated by the 3rd pic I posted (as said graphic novel series is still ongoing) and put voice clips from both the film and tv show over it. Like imagining a manga brought to life by an anime, I want to see if people find the voices from the film more fitting or the show one if said images were animated.

I sampled the scenes of Clary & Jace's first meeting and talk before their first kiss for both series of examples.

Forgive me for my choice of screenshots. It was all I could find online without buying the graphic novels themselves

I just watched the tmi movie and it's so bad but also kinda good. like the plot makes no sense (at the end especially) but I'd rewatch it for funsies. it's the most 2013 thing ever so that explains it. jamie campbell bower as jace was perfect casting though, he delivered his lines so well

one thing i never liked abt shadowhunters (the show) is how they did the institue. like why are there so many people??? why is there technology???? is this a police station?????
